IntroductionLooking for a good psp game? one with great action great controls and great gameplay? well Killzone Liberation is your game. Killzone Liberation is a solid PSP game one that has supurb controls and design and most importantly great gameplay. Killzone Liberation also carries on from killzone 1 from Playstation 2 so fans will be pleased. And those that are or were first timers to the series will get a fair understanding of the story once you get through.
Singleplayer The Singleplayer aspect is Killzone Liberations main solid base of the game. It gives an amazing gameplay experience and features good cutscenes and a solid singleplayer story. The story is based on a planet known as Vecta and has a war between 2 factions...ISA and the evil Helghast. In general like every sci-fi movie/game its basically the Good guys vs. the Bad guys. The Good guys however are strugling to win this war against this Helghast
[think of the Jedi vs. the empire in star wars] and its up to you: the Hero to help the Good guys win. This Hero's name in Jan Templar. Some of you that have played the previous killzone may have already known him as he was also the hero in Killzone 1! You start off being airlifted to this trench torn desert place where the ISA troops are unfortunately are being Pwned by the Helghast. Your task is to find Sergeant Rico as he was here in these trenches. Along the Campaign you will be freeing ISA V.I.P hostages and hitting the Helghast where it hurts.
GameplayRather than your average generic First person shooter killzone Liberation has a topdown Isometric-ish view with lock on targeting even on enemies that are on higher ground. This is great it makes controls smooth and offers a good gameplay experience even when using a new system you would be doubtful about. You will get used to it and will love it. Cover is well placed and Maps are well balanced. Shooting the bastards is fairly easy make your guy face the enemy and you will know you are locked on to them if a heathbar comes up above them. You can even lock on to people on higher ground [e.g snipers] or even objects such as explosive barrels! As from that the system works well without a doubt. Weapons are balanced and have their weaknesses and strengths. You start off with a basic ISA assault rifle that fires in bursts but later on you will get badboys such as rocket launchers, explosive crossbows, or even flamethrowers if you're feeling like BBQ tonight. Weapons are found at these supply box things and enemies drop ammo from their gun once defeated. Also you have the option between smoke grenades and frag grenades at your disposal. Suitcases of Vectan money scatter around missions will have you be able to purchase new weapons and upgrade ones you already own and Singleplayer challenges though frustrating and annoying to complete at times give perks to help you in the singleplayer campaign such as hold extra grenade or faster C4 setting up. Killzone has a great weapons and shooting system Killzone offers much more than what other shooters do.Killzone Liberation gives you such a thrill playing it nomatter if you are on the train or at home. The Helghast like unlike most enemies have these fearsome Googles they where over their eyes which turn red when they are in combat, orange when on alert, yellow when on low alert and green when they are thinking about their girlfriends or something which gives the game a little bit of stealth in the game. The Troopers are smart aswell: They toss grenades at you, they melee you when you get close, they duck, the dive and try and storm your cover. There are many Helghast bad guys in range aswell from troopers to jetpack soldiers none of which is to be taken lightly. Also you have friends to help as well! in some missions you have an allied soldier or V.I.P in which you can give orders to. The ordering system is suprisingly easy aswell. You press down on the D-pad and you are given many options such as move orders, C4 orders, defend and attack orders, and you can even tell them to take the mountain gun. Heath is easy to use: there are heathpacks lying around or in boxes and you can replenish in depots scattered around. If your Friendly soldier or V.I.P gets wounded or unconsious from battle you can revive them with syringes you find at depots. Also what would a Hero like Templar be without vehicles? Many missions have you in the seat of a Speedy Hovercraft with missles and machine guns or a tank that even make the Helghast quiver in fear. yes Vehicles make up a big piece of the jigsaw here just look out for those pesky mines!!

GraphicsGraphics are well they are OK they arn't super awesome like God of war chains of olympus but not the worst. The textures are not the best and they show in the cinematics. However it does have great effects from the explosions and Bombs in the game which have dirt raining down as they struggle to get back to their feet. physics are also amazing as you smile when the helghast are tossed around like a ragdoll. Graphics arnt the best but hey its PSP not PS3
SoundSound is great whether it be Helghast saying "ISA scum!" or the epic musical score used in cutscenes and main menus. Guns sound great and voice acting is clear and not too cheesy. Helghast actually have quite alot of chatter aswell.
ConclusionKillzone Liberation is a supurb PSP game where it has a rock solid singleplayer and awesome multiplayer that leaves a warm feeling inside. Guerilla should be applauded on this one. With Such an enjoyable game I would rate this one 8 minimum and 9.2 maximum at LEAST. Best of all you can play this game anywhere!! :D
